Soon afterward,\u00a0the leadership of the ISSC and JSSC formally became a Council comprised of all IEEE societies contributing to the field of integrated circuits.<\/p>\n<p>As the field grew in the 1980s, two more solid-state circuits conferences were launched\u00a0\u2014 the VLSI Symposia, a sister\u00a0conference with the Electron Devices Society, and the Custom Integrated Circuits Conference (CICC).\u00a0 In addition, the Council\u00a0established a\u00a0significant relationship with the European Solid-State Device Electronics Conference and the European Solid-State Circuits Conference (ESSCIRC\/ESSDERC).<\/p>\n<p>To gain more control over its own work, the Council became\u00a0the IEEE Solid-State Circuits\u00a0Society in 1997. SSCS established the Asian Solid-Solid State Circuits Conference\u00a0(ASSCC) in 2003 and the Solid-State Circuits Magazine in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>Today SSCS is a patron member of six IEEE Councils to leverage interdisciplinary technologies.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3>About\u00a0IEEE<\/h3>\n<p>IEEE is the world\u2019s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.
