Aircraft Carrier Tour
Tour the USS John C. Stennis

Register early for the opportunity to tour a US Navy nuclear aircraft carrier just before she puts to sea. CICC has arranged for a tour of USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74) in the San Diego harbor.
Up to 50 CICC attendees may take this tour; those signing up after the first 50 will be placed on a wait list. Open to US residents as well as foreign nationals.
Tour Details
1. The tour will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 5 (to avoid conflicts with other CICC events). A bus will depart the Town & Country hotel lobby at 2:15 p.m. and return at approximately 5 p.m.
2. When registering online for CICC 2001, state clearly your interest in joining the tour. Because attendance is limited, please do not sign up if you do not fully expect to take the tour. You will know at the time of signing up whether you are "confirmed" or "stand-by". If you are stand-by, you will have to follow up with a separate e-mail to Larry Wissel, CICC Exhibits Chairman (wissel@us.ibm.com) stating your name and your desire to be placed on the wait list. (Due to limited availablity, carrier tour registration is *only* available online. )
3. Tour attendees will be required to pay bus fare ($6) from the Town and Country Hotel to the Navy base and return. You will pay the bus fare at the time you board the bus.
4. IMPORTANT: USS John C. Stennis is a combat-ready warship of the United States Navy. It is not handicap accessible. Attendees must wear comfortable, non-skid footwear with closed toes, low heels and good traction. Women should wear slacks. All attendees will be required to climb up and down steep ladders. Please be prepared for the many sights and sounds of a warship preparing for a long sea tour.
5. Cameras and camcorders are permitted.
